AST SpaceMobile is building a low-Earth-orbit satellite cellular broadband network designed to connect directly to standard mobile phones. Working with mobile-network operators, it aims to extend 4G/5G coverage to remote, maritime and disaster-response areas, with execution tied to satellite deployment, spectrum coordination, regulatory approvals and direct-to-device performance.
