DOPE is a community-driven meme token on the Solana blockchain, launched via Pump.fun in October 2026. Its name and imagery combine two well-known internet memes, Doge and Pepe, and come from a widely shared Reddit story in which a user accidentally spent about $1,900 in AI API costs and ended up with a single Doge-Pepe image. DOPE was launched through the OTC launcher platform. The token's creator fees are routed to the platform, which uses a portion of them to buy a basket of reward tokens and distribute them to DOPE holders automatically, with no claiming or staking required.
