Not In the Labor Force (NILF): A standard economic/labor statistics term for people who are neither employed nor actively looking for work. This appears frequently in policy discussions and data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Not in Labor Force is at the highest rate since the great depression, with 100s of millions being part of this tribe. Universal Basic Income will be a reality with the rise of NILFs as this continues into the main stream.
