Singularity is NEAR (SINGULARTY) is a memecoin on NEAR Protocol mainnet. Its name refers to Ray Kurzweil's book The Singularity Is Near, which NEAR's name was also inspired by. The token was launched through Nearly, a token launch platform on NEAR. It trades in a Rhea pool against wrapped NEAR (wNEAR). The contract address is singularty.nearlytrade.near. SINGULARTY charges a 1% tax on buys and a 1% tax on sells. The tax is collected in SINGULARTY and swapped for NEAR by the feeswap.near contract. All of that NEAR goes to token holders in proportion to their holdings. Payouts happen about every 15 minutes, once a holder is owed at least $0.10. Tokens held in Rhea liquidity pools and LP positions don't earn these payouts. The token contract has no function for changing the tax rates. The project's mascot is SINGU, a cartoon black hole. The website has an animated black-hole scene and a "Check your orbit" tool that shows how much a wallet has received in holder payouts. The token has no governance rights, utility functions or formal partnerships.
