The world is no longer round. It's flat. $WIF is a token for one idea: that access to finance shouldn't depend on where you were born, which bank will take you, or who decides you're allowed in. Technology flattened communication, then commerce, then information. Finance is the last unflat thing left. Every barrier that falls makes the world a little flatter. What's left when they're gone is one market, reachable from anywhere, at any hour, by anyone, with whatever they have. $WIF is the belief that it goes all the way.
